According to Gary Washburn with the Seattle Post Intelligencer the Magic may be interested in acquiring veteran C/PF Kurt Thomas. Thomas, who apparantely is happy in Seattle, is looking at a reduced role with Robert Swift slated to get more playing time and may be moved. The big trade chips in the NBA are expiring contracts of which the Magic have 3 with Carlos Arroyo (4 million), Keyon Dooling (3.6 million) and Pat Garrity (3.8 million). I would like this move for Orlando. Thomas could take a little pressure off of Dwight Howard on the boards and provide another legitimate scoring option which the Magic definitely need.
