It looks like DE Greg White wants some real money now. After completing his first full season in the NFL Greg White looked great, he finished with 8.5 sacks and 28 tackles in a rotation that included first round pick Gaines Adams. Not a bad first season. Now he’s an exclusive rights free agent (only the Bucs can negotiate with him) and he’s trying to use what little leverage he has in order to get a raise. I gotta take White’s side here as long as he doesn’t get crazy with the numbers. White earned the league minimum last season taking home $300,000. If I were the Bucs I would think White earned a little more than your typical second year player since he’s actually been around since ‘02 although most of that was on practice squads and in the Arena League. Look for a two to three year deal with some incentives and I think he takes it.
