UFC 83: Serra vs. St. Pierre 2 this Saturday
If any of you follow MMA you’ll remember last year Serra and St. Pierre squared off for St. Pierre’s Welterweight Title in what turned out to be the biggest upset of the year. Some called it a fluke while others called it a whoopin’. Personally I believe if not for an accidental shot to the back of the head by Serra the outcome may have been different. Maybe.
Since the fight Serra has been the epitome of classless(not a real shocker). Don’t get me wrong Serra is a great BJJ guy and has decent hands but he earned his title shot by winning a contest where in the finals he couldn’t stop a non-top ten fighter and only won because he out foot stomped his opponent. St. Pierre now has a fire lit under him and win, lose, or draw I’m expecting fireworks as GSP has stated “I’ll win or go to the hospital”.
Outside of the main event the rest of the card is pretty solid too and with it being the first UFC event in Canada it should be a great show.
