I’m trying to get more info on this story but I’ll put out what I know. As you may have heard by now, the Zab Judah/Shane Mosley fight has been postponed due to Judah’s injury. This is funny. Judah apparently hurt himself falling in his bathroom and needed 50 stitches to mend a cut on his forearm. 50 Stitches? Is his tub lined with razor blades? How do athletes get hurt like this? I’ve fallen in my bathroom before (I was drunk by the way) and I left with a bruise, not 50 stitches. This sounds like a cover-up. If not than Judah should take ballet or something to avoid these mishaps when showering. This postponement apparently came as a surprise to Jeff Lacy. According to Rock Riley, Lacy was never contacted by Golden Boy Promotions to let him know the fight was off. This is big for Lacy who is trying to rebuild his career after the thrashing he took from Joe Calzaghe. Lacy apparently now wants his next fight to be in Tampa since the fight in Vegas is off. It was unknown who Lacy’s opponent would have been in Vegas so I guess it wouldn’t matter who he would fight here as well. This is just a goofy story that sums up what Boxing has become. Even Golden Boy Promotions is sinking into the depths of shady behavior along with Don King. Nice.
